Terms and Conditions

The terms that apply when you book a survey or treatment with Stratford Pest Control.

Last updated: 25 August 2026

These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of pest control services by Stratford Pest Control ("we", "us", "our"), of 30 Meadow Road, Alcester, B49 6BA, to any customer ("you", "your") who books a survey, quote or treatment with us. By booking a survey, requesting a quote, or accepting a treatment from us, you agree to these Terms.

1. Definitions

"Agreement" means the contract formed between us and you for the supply of Services, made up of these Terms and any quotation, order confirmation, or written agreement provided to you. "Services" means any survey, inspection, treatment, pest control programme, or related work we agree to carry out. "Premises" means the property, land, or site where the Services are to be carried out.

2. Quotations and pricing

Prices for common treatments are published as a general guide on our website and are indicative only. Every job begins with a no-obligation survey so we can confirm the extent of the problem and agree a fixed price before any work begins. Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date given unless stated otherwise, after which we reserve the right to review pricing.

Some treatments (including but not limited to rodent, flea, and cockroach control) are provided as a programme of visits. Where a treatment programme is quoted as a fixed number of visits, we will attend up to that number as needed to bring the infestation under control; further visits beyond the agreed programme may be chargeable.

3. Booking and access

By booking an appointment, you confirm that you have the authority to allow us access to the Premises (as owner, tenant, or with the owner's permission) and that access will be reasonably safe and available at the agreed time. You are responsible for telling us in advance about anything that could affect the safety of our technician or the effectiveness of treatment, including but not limited to: pets, children, or vulnerable people who may need to be kept away from treated areas; known allergies or sensitivities; food preparation areas; aquariums, birds, or other animals sensitive to treatment products; and any access restrictions or hazards on site.

If we're unable to gain access at a pre-booked appointment through no fault of our own, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable call-out fee to cover the wasted visit.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel or rearrange an appointment free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations with less notice, or a missed appointment where no one is available to grant access, may be subject to a call-out charge to cover our technician's time and travel.

If you are a consumer booking our Services at a distance (for example, by phone or through our website) without an in-person visit first, you may have a right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. If you ask us to begin work within that 14-day period, you're agreeing to waive the cancellation right in respect of work already carried out, and may be charged for Services provided up to the point of cancellation.

5. Payment

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due on completion of each visit or, for commercial contracts, in line with the payment terms set out in your service agreement. We accept the payment methods shown on our invoices. Late payment may incur reasonable administrative costs and statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where applicable to business customers.

6. Guarantees and re-treatment

Where we offer a free re-treatment guarantee (for example, on wasp nest treatments), this applies only where the original treatment has not been effective through no fault of the customer, and where the affected area has not been disturbed, cleaned, or altered in a way that could affect the treatment. Guarantees do not cover new, unrelated infestations, or infestations arising after the guarantee period stated at the time of booking.

Pest control reduces and manages infestations using industry-recognised methods; while we aim for full resolution, we cannot guarantee that every pest will be eliminated immediately, particularly where structural or environmental factors (such as ongoing access points, food sources, or neighbouring properties) are outside our control. Where this applies, we will explain what further action may be needed.

7. Use of pesticides and health and safety

All treatments are carried out by trained, insured technicians in line with the relevant product's label instructions, the Control of Pesticides Regulations, COSHH, and current industry best practice (including the standards set by the BASIS PROMPT Continuing Professional Development Scheme). We will advise you of any precautions you need to take before, during, and after treatment, including any areas to avoid and for how long. You must follow this advice for your own safety and to allow the treatment to work effectively.

8. Liability

We hold public liability insurance and carry out our Services with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for any loss or damage caused by inaccurate or incomplete information provided by you, failure to follow post-treatment advice, pre-existing damage or infestation not disclosed to us, or matters outside our reasonable control (see Force Majeure below). Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

Subject to the above, our total liability for any claim arising from the Services is limited to the value of the Services provided in respect of that claim.

9. Force majeure

We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform the Services caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, illness, road closures, or supply issues affecting treatment products.

10. Complaints

If you're unhappy with any aspect of our Services, please contact us as soon as possible using the details below so we can put things right. We aim to acknowledge complaints promptly and resolve them fairly.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or the law. The version in force at the time you book with us will apply to that booking.
